Freebie Alert: WinX HD Video Converter

Remember the MacX free that I talked about? Well there is also a similar one going on for those of you on the PC.

Simply  visit the WinX DVD Easter 2013 Giveaway page and you will be able to get hold of WinX HD Video Converter for free. LIke the MacX Video Converter Pro giveaway, you won’t get any software updates, but you have to activate your copy of WinX HD Video converter before 7th April 2010.

Freebie Alert: MacX Video Pro Easter 2013 Giveaway

The easter 2013 tech deals have already started. One of the deals that you can get is from the good people at Digiarty Software. At the time of writing, MacX Video Converter Pro normally costs $50US (£33).  However, Digiarty are running a special easter giveaway where you can get your own copy of MacX Video Pro for free. All you have to do is visit the MacXDVD Easter Giveaway page and click on the “Get License Code” button on the page.

This giveaway is only good until 7th April 2013 so make sure you jump on it as soon as possible and activate it before the said date.

At the bottom of the page, try clicking on one of the easter eggs because you might also score either a decent freebie or a serious discount.

The only catch is that this freebie will not entitle you to free updates.

soundsticksAdi reviewed the Harman Kardon USB Soundsticks. He determined the speakers are a great replacement for the speakers which come with your PC. They are definitely a buy for him. This model is no longer available but you should look on eBay or craigslist to see if you can find one.

State of our Video podcast

As some of you already know, we are really excited to bring you the video versions of our shows really soon.  However, we want to make sure that we bring you a production that you will enjoy.  That is why we have decided to delay the release of our first video episode until late March. We will hopefully have the feed in iTunes, and Miro shortly afterwards.

We also noted that we were going to be changing our podcast/RSS feed for the audio version very soon. With regards to this, this change will be taking place in the next two weeks.

Reminder: Free underground Wi-Fi ends Thursday

If you have been using Virgin Media’s Wi-Fi services on the London Underground network, then you already know that you could do so for free until the end of January 2013. Well, just to let you know, starting from this Friday(1st February), the underground Wi-Fi service will no longer be free. If you want to continue using it for free then you will have to be an EE, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Orange, Virgin Broadband or Virgin Mobile customer.

THQ is dead, assets being sold of to Sega and others

It is a sad day in the games industry as THQ is officially dead.  The game maker is bankrupt and its games are being sold off to other companies. So far, we know that Sega is going to own Company of Heroes and Warhammer 40,000, Saints Row and Metro are going to Deep Silver(Koch Media), and THQ Montreal and South Park are going to Ubisoft.

 

MHF Tech on Hiatus…… For Now

We are going to be taking a break for the next three or four. This means that we’re not going to be posting any new episodes of our shows for the next three or four weeks. We are not going away for good, but we’re using this time to prepare for something really awesome. What is this awesome thing?

As we’ve previously announced, we’re going to be launching the video version of our podcast and this time it’s really happening.  I can confirm that the video versions of our shows will be available starting from February. Of course, the audio versions of our shows will still be available.

Speaking of the audio version we’re also going to be changing the podcast feed for the audio version in 3 weeks time.  You might have to re-subscribe to our podcast but everything will still work as normal.

Not only are we on facebook and twitter but we’re now on Google Plus. You can join our Google + community. There are no restrictions as to who can join and it’s completely open to everyone.

We look forward to the launch of our video podcast feed. Until then, watch those skies and backup your data!
